About the event
Come learn more about edible and medicinal wild plants and fungi walking the beautiful grounds of The Center at Mariandale, then join us for a potluck! This is part of a monthly foraging event organized by Wild Roots Initiative of the nonprofit D.I.G. Farm in partnership with the Garden of Hope leaders at Mariandale.
The Garden of Hope is a regenerative garden that grows food for local food pantries as well as a native plant garden that provides sustenance for pollinators and wildlife. Mariandale was founded by the Sisters of Hope who are committed to a life of eco-spirituality.

APPROPRIATE FOR: • All ages, all abilities. Please let us know if special accommodations are needed • Children accompanied by a caregiver • Therapy dogs may be permitted with advance approval but may not be permitted at certain locations
POTLUCK: • Plates, bowls, cutlery and glasses will be provided. • Bring a dish to share (label with ingredients appreciated) • We encourage bringing dishes featuring homegrown, organic or foraged ingredients!
PAYMENT
You can pay online, or register and pay in person, or sign up for the new Foragers Club or D.I.G. It membership plans which include extra perks like a Wild Roots tshirt and private harvest days and a hug at each event! All that exciting stuff aside, don't let lack of funds keep you away. Let us know and can arrange to spot you.
BRING: • Collection bags or baskets • Appropriate dress to prevent tick and mosquito bites
